In 1954, Mr. Clarke Phillips, a former Safety Supervisor with Inco, responded to the need for quality safety equipment in the mines.  He set up shop at 7 Temperance Street in Copper Cliff (Sudbury), Ontario, just blocks away from the mining giant.  In 1986 the Nurmi Family took over the business and we serve you today from that same location.  Our low overhead and superb supplier relations help to keep our prices low.  Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff is always eager to serve you.  The majority of our staff members have been with us for over 15 years, that’s a lot of experience!

In 1999 we opened a location in Thompson, Manitoba, to better serve the community and growing mining operations there.

We have recently expanded our retail operations with Clarke Phillips’ The Safety Zone to offer customers the convenience of shopping in a more central location with extended business hours.

Clarke Phillips Supply Co. has been supplying the Mining Industry for over 55 years.
